I believe that giving back to my community is vitally important, so a few times a year I donate my time and artwork to benefit a worthy cause. Here are a few recent events that I attended and painted live. Typically the paintings are auctioned off to the highest bidder and all proceeds are donated to the charity.
American Red Cross - Bash 20
June 1, 2018
Over 3,000 people came out to support the last Mash Bash Fundraiser for the American Red Cross. I was there painting this "Charging Buffalo" live. So happy it found a home and raised $$$ for a great organization. :)
Kids Escaping Drugs
In June of 2017 I painted live at Kids Escaping Drugs Black tie fundraiser. The theme was "Around the World". I painted and donated "Wander":while on site at The Foundry. The painting was auctioned off during in the live auction and proceeds went to benefit a great cause!
Give Back Day 2017
I was at it again this year! Painting live for a great cause that supports charities throughout WNY. Embrace the Difference painting donation raised over $500, one lucky lady took home the painting and Kids Escaping Drugs took home the cash!
Give Back Day 2016
For the past three years I have donated my time and artwork to Embrace the Difference Give Back Day! It's an awesome event that supports charitable organizations throughout Western New York. Reeds Jenss will be donating 10% of any purchase made throughout the day. So shop til you drop!
This year I'll be painting LIVE and the artwork will be raffled off. Not only does the winner get the original painting, but they also get to choose which charitable organization gets the raffle proceeds. Good Luck!!
The LandEscape Art Exhibit
In February of 2016, I had an art show of my LandEscape painting series. The LandEscapes were made possible thanks to the funding of my Kickstarter campaign, A View for a Room; Transforming Healthcare Spaces. The exhibit was held at the Kevin Guest House in their recently purchased Victorian mansion right in the heart of Buffalo's Medical Campus. LandEscape #20 was painted onsite and was donated to the Kevin Guest House to help in their mission of providing a comfortable and supportive home away from home for patients and their families.
Painting a Better World
When I was approached by Embrace the Difference founder, Robyn Zimmer, to create a painting that symbolized her organization, I jumped at the opportunity. I feel honored to have a piece of my artwork included in the Embrace the Difference collection. There is nothing more fulfilling, then when I am able to use my talent, to make a positive difference and help spread the word about love, acceptance and understanding.

Stones Buddies Book Give Away
Inspired by our experiences at Women's & Children's Hospital, former Artist in Residence, Cristina Pippa and I created a story and activity book titled "Hippos at the Hospital." We understand that not every patient has the opportunity to work with an artist and we hoped to fill that void by creating our interactive book. Through the generous support of friends, we were able to donate 200 copies of "Hippos at the Hospital" to Stone's Buddies, a program to support chronically ill children.
